The moment I saw this book with its colorful, fairytale cover, I knew I was going to love it. BOHEMIAN CATS is a beautiful picture book written for readers of any age. It's a fun, imaginative whodunit book where King Furr hunts for the thief who stole his favorite yellow canary. Lush photographs of various cat breeds dressed in gorgeous Baroque attire placed in whimsical settings grasp the reader's attention. Cats in beautiful century clothing, masquerade balls, castle rooms, lavish gardens, on-stage performances, and exquisite pullouts capture the splendor in this charmingly eccentric book. The snapshots were taken in Prague, Cesky Krumlov, and several other scenic locations throughout Bohemia. Labeled as magical realism, this fantasy book is a must-own! Readers will enjoy the storyline featuring Prince Scratch, Lady Purrla, Sir Walter Whisker, and Lord Felix in the Catdom somewhere in Bohemia. This reviewer and her children, ages 13, 8, & 7, loved this book, and we highly recommend it.

Every page of this stunningly delightful fairy tale features charming, full-color, photographic illustrations of rambunctuous felines who ruled a distant land called Bohemia. No live cats were harmed or even inconvenienced in the making of Bohemian Cats, which applies digital technology to photographs of cats and environments to create the lustrous, puss-n-boots style images of felines in royal garb. An absolute "must-have" for true ailurophiles, and a dazzling treasure to simply page through.
